Richmond Rovers is a thriving Junior Football Club in the North West of England, near the major footballing cities of Stockport and Manchester.

The club's teams play in the Stockport Metro Leagues.

FA Charter Standard

Richmond Rovers Junior Football Club are proud to have been awarded in December 2005 the prestigious status of FA Charter Standard  Development Club .

The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme, supported by FA Community Partner McDonald's, was launched in February 2001 with the aim of setting standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people. 

The programme is aimed at boys and girls under 16 and will help children and parents find in their local area a club that meets FA standards of coaching, administration, development and child protection. 

Youth Clubs need to demonstrate :-

  • Management

  • Child Protection

  • Qualified Coaches

  • Fair Play

  • Insurance

However maybe the most important benefit is the recognition, from The FA, that the club provides a safe, quality environment for its young players.
